alfa change log and development
Change log
alfa version 1.0 was released on 26 August 2016, having previously been available in beta since December 2015. The changes included in each version since then are listed here. Changes are described as "major", meaning some significant change to the working of the code; "bug fix" for problems which have been corrected, and "minor" for changes only to the underlying code which do not affect the methodology and should not affect the results.

- The current non-release revision of alfa may contain new features that you wish to make use of, but there is no guarantee that it will work as expected or even at all, so use at your own risk.
v2.0 — 28 May 2020
source code | changes from v1.0 to v2.0
- Major: output is now written to a FITS file by default. Text output is still available using the new
--output-format
option. Output in csv and latex is also available, but in future releases I anticipate that only FITS will be retained, with a separate utility to convert to other formats - Minor and bug fixes: four years' worth.
I last updated the code on June 14, 2024 with the change being
fixed formatting in optical_ultradeep.cat
